JAY Union Cushion

The JAY Union Wheelchair Cushion from Sunrise Medical is a multi-layered foam and fluid cushion that’s a great option if you have a medium to high risk of pressure injuries to your skin. Sunrise Medical have used their extensive knowledge to produce a wheelchair cushion that offers a perfect combination of stability, comfort, and advanced skin protection.

The JAY Union is a multi-layered cushion that’s made with a rear wall and sacral notch cut out. It has a foam base, JAY flow fluid inserts for fantastic pressure relief with no maintenance required, and a memory foam top layer.

It has Dual Cover Technology and is supplied as standard with an inner and outer cover. The inner cover is a Dartex Coated Lycra material offering anti-wicking, easy cleaning and incontinence protection. The outer is a Microclimatic cover with 3DX space fabric, which improves the breathability and reduces skin breakdown, heat, and moisture build up. It’s particularly good when you’re sat for longer periods.

The cushion is available in standard height or reduced profile height (1" lower). At the tallest point, the lateral edge of this cushion measures 110mm in height (90mm for the reduced profile version). The reduced profile version tends to be more suitable if you use a manual wheelchair while the standard is more suitable if you use a powerchair. However, that may not be the case depending on your individual needs.

Once you order this cushion

We’ll contact you within one working day to agree the size and style of the cushion so your order can be sent to production. It can take around two weeks for the cushion to arrive, but this can vary at different times of the year.

Each cushion is made to order and because of this we are unable to accept returns on this product. For quality assurance the cushion is supplied with a manufacturer's two-year warranty to cover you against defects in materials and workmanship. You can find more details on this in the owner's manual supplied with your order.

Replacement or additional covers (either inner or outer) are available to add to your order. We will offer these when contacting you to discuss your sizing requirements.
